Fitch downgraded USA debt from AAA. Singapore and Norway now have better credit ratings than the USA.
(Fun fact: AIG had a AAA rating before failing in the most public and spectacular fashion possible, giving all their cash (and a lot of bailout cash) to Goldman Sachs Turns out picking up pennies in front of steamrollers isn’t a great strategy.)
(Fun fact #2: Singapore and Norway do not have the US Navy and/or 3750 nuclear weapons)
